2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Convertible Caught for the First Time

Here we have the very first pictures of a convertible version of the upcoming seventh generatation Chevrolet Corvette. The new Corvette was spotted while testing on public roads in Michigan, U.S. along with the C7 coupe. Porsche 911 is also part of the test crew, so obviously Chevrolet is targeting the 911 with the new Corvette.

As you can see the convertible will retain the sof top, just like its predecessors. Beyond its canvas roof, the convertible version of the Corvette C7 looks just like the highly camouflaged coupes that we have seen several times.

Chevrolet has revealed that the new Corvette will get a new 6.2L LT1 V-8 engine with around 450 hp.

The new Corvette C7 Coupe will be launched in early January at the Detroit Auto Show, while the C7 Convertible is expected to follow in the second half of 2013.
