Celebrate the 66 reg plate with these latest car releases

The release of the 66 reg plate represents one of the busiest times of the year for the new car market.

Fortunately, new and used car dealership Motorparks is on hand to ensure you head into the market with a clear focus on what you’re looking for. If you’re still undecided, one of the following three brand-new vehicles is sure to appeal and suit your requirements:

If you’re in the market for a city car, opt for…the Ford Ka+

Expected release:

October 2016, though keep an eye on Motorparks’ new Ford range hub for up-to-date information.

Why is it the car for me?

The Ford Ka+ is the third-generation of the Ka family. Fans of the series will quickly notice that the main change is that it will feature five doors instead of the usual three-door design.

Thanks to this alteration, the Ka+ comes designed with electric rear windows as standard. Other standard features of note is the inclusion of a fantastic air-conditioning system and sleek specifying alloy wheels.

It should be noted that the Ka+ will be closer to the size of a new Ford Fiesta than previous generations of the Ka. Despite this, the vehicle will remain compact and easy to drive around busy city centres.

If you’re in the market for a family car, opt for…the Fiat Tipo

Expected release:

September 2016.

Why is it the car for me?

With five doors allowing for simple access and five seats that are spacious enough even for a quintet of adults, the whole family will love the Fiat Tipo.

The car will be released as both an estate and a hatchback, with the former offering 520 litres of boot space and the latter 420 litres. It’s safe to say that storing luggage won’t be a problem whichever variant you select.

There are plenty of fun features packed into every Fiat Tipo too. This includes a state-of-the-art Uconnect infotainment system, which is operated via a five-inch touchscreen, as well as a refreshing air conditioning system.

We cannot forget to mention the Tipo’s 1.3-litre Multijet diesel engine. With this in place, it’s claimed that the car can deliver over 70mpg — your fuel costs are sure to take a tumble!

If you’re in the market for a company car, opt for…the Alfa Romeo Giulia

Expected release:

November 2016, with Motorparks’ new Alfa Romeo range portal the place to find the latest news ahead of its arrival.

Why is it the car for me?

Say hello to the spiritual successor of the Alfa Romeo 159 — the new Alfa Romeo Giulia.

Representing the Italian car manufacturer’s latest venture into the executive saloon sector, the Giulia catches the eye with its luxurious design and raft of handy equipment and tech. The Giulia’s 2.2-litre diesel engine limits CO2 emissions to below 100g/km, so you can enjoy tax-free driving too.

These appealing characteristics are available at an attractive price, so it’s little wonder that the Alfa Giulia is being tipped as being serious competition for the BMW 3 Series, the Mercedes C-Class, the Audi A4 and the Jaguar XE.
