After a fuel pump failure in qualifying put the Century Motorsport pairing of Anna Walewska and team boss Nathan Freke on the back of the grid, it was only the most dedicated supporter who expect the pair to land a podium finish in Sunday’s British GT race at Rockingham.
But not only did the Bolton CAPE-sponsored Ginetta G55 carve its way through the pack during two hours of racing to catch up with the front runners – they made it to first in class and Anna cross the line a full 33 seconds ahead of the Beechdean Aston Martin V8 Vantage of Jack Bartholomew and Jordan Albert in second.

- The #407 Aston inherited the GT4 win

But before the day was out, the rug was pulled from under their feet with exclusion – rather than a time penalty or drive-through penality – being handed down to a total of three GT4 G55s, plus points against the relevant drivers’ licenses.
Instead of leading the class for the championship’s next appearance – at Oulton Park at the end of this month – the Century Motorsport pair will be playing catchup in the hopes of reviving their chance of an overall win this year.
