Branson loses F1 bet, will work as air hostess on AirAsia flight

Richard Branson and AirAsia boss Tony Fernandes laid down a bet at the beginning of the season, whereby the losing F1 team principal would serve as a flight attendant on the other’s airline. Lotus Racing finished 10th wile the Virgin Racing came finished last (12th).

Richard Branson lost the bet and will soon be wearing a red skirt and play a stewardess on AirAsia flight.

“We want him to shave his legs. We are going to try and get him to shave his legs and wear some make-up,” The Star quoted Fernandes, the Indian-origin chief of the Malaysian budget airline, as saying Wednesday.

“But we will leave his moustache alone as it is his trademark,” said Fernandes, who is the Lotus Racing team principal and AirAsia Group chief executive.

The date for the flight from Kaula Lumpur to London has not been set yet, the tickets will be put on auction and the money will be given to Branson’s chosen charity.
