BMW Unveils X1 xDrive28i with 2.0-litre TwinPower Turbo

BMW has announced a new generation of 2.0-litre petrol engines with TwinPower Turbo technology that will debut in the new X1 xDrive28i. The all-new 2.0-litre engine is closely modeled on BMW’s in-line six-cylinder engines with all-aluminium crankcase, and with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology featuring high-performance twin-scroll turbocharging system. Maximum rated power is 242bhp and 258 lb-ft of torque.

The X1 xDrive28i comes in standard with six-speed manual transmission( or optionally with eight-speed automatic) with BMW EfficientDynamics features, including Auto Start-Stop function on manual transmission models.

The new 2.0-litre turbo is also expected to make into Z4 and 5 Series later in the year. For full details about the X1 xDrive28i see the press release below.
