BMW M5 facelift revealed with optional Competition Package
The BMW 5 Series facelift is now complete with the hot M5 that now comes with standard xenon headlights, optional adaptive LED headlights, while the M kidney grille has model designation. The rear boasts revised LED tail lights. The interior features new steering wheel with two M buttons on it, more storage room under the armrest in the centre console and new bespoke leather shades.
There are also new two-tone seven-spoke 20-inch lightweight alloy wheels, new exterior colour choices an different matt finishes.
The twin-turbo 4.4-litre V8 in standard configuration produces the same 552bhp and 567bhp with the optional Competition Package that cuts the 0-62mph time by 0.1 seconds to 4.2 seconds.
The rivaling Mercedes E 63 AMG S Model packs 577bhp and does 0-62 mph in 4.1 seconds.
The Competition Package also features updated suspension and damping systems, 10mm lowered ride height, new hydraulic rack-and-pinion steering with M-specific Servotronic function, carbon ceramic brakes and sport exhaust system with custom M black chrome twin tailpipes.
The Competition Package will also be available on the BMW M6 and M6 Gran Coupe.
