BMW has released first images and details of the new M5 Concept, that will have its public debut at Auto Shanghai on April 19.
Based on the new F10 5 Series, the M5 features typical M styling like a revised front fascia with bigger air intakes, lip spoiler on the trunk, rear apron with an integrated diffuser, quad exhausts and 20-inch forged rims fitted with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres.
BMW did not reveal what’s really under the bonnet. All they mentioned is that there is a high-revving V8 engine with M TwinPower Turbo Technology that generates the power output required for outstanding performance.
If you have been following us for a while you know it is a twin-turbocharged 4.4 litre V8 that produces 580-600bhp.
Even though BMW calls it a concept, it is very close to the production model that will go on sale this autumn.
