BMW M5 celebrates its 30th anniversary this year and we have already seen a short promo video with the F10 model going sideways.
BMW has already hinted that a bigger surprise will follow later this year and here are the first leaked details about the 30th Anniversary M5.
The 30th Anniversary M5 is much more than a special Frozen Dark Silver Metallic exterior paint, new 20-inch alloys and special 30th anniversary badges.
The biggest update is under the bonnet, where the twin-turbo V8 is modified to produce 592bhp (600PS) and 516 lb-ft of torque linked to dual-clutch gearbox. That’s 32 extra bhp compared to the standard M5 and 17 extra bhp compared to the M5 with the Competition Package.
Other updates include dark chrome trim, “30 Jahre M5″ in the Frozen Dark Silver colour, Competition Package, exhaust pipes in dark chrome, full Merino leather with M5 stitching and Alcantara steering wheel.
While nothing is official one of the leaked images suggests that this anniversary model will be limited to just 300 units.
Possible public debut is at the M Festival at the Nürburgring from June 20-22 with production to start soon after.
