BMW i8 Spied Less Disguised with New Production Lights

BMW i8 has been testing for quite some time by now and is expected to debut in production guise later this year.

Two years ago we brought you first pictures of the i8 prototype cold weather testing in Sweden. BMW engineers are back in Sweden with new i8 prototypes with less disguise, revealing the production ready taillights.

The i8 concept had a three cylinder diesel and an electric motor, while the production model will feature a 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine and electric hybrid drivetrain. 0-62mph is expected to come in 4.8 seconds with a fuel economy around 100mpg.

The i8 has a 2+2 seating, gullwing doors and is expected to cost around £125k when it hits the market next year.
