will be unveiled to the public on July 29th.
Here we have the latest and best shots of the i3 testing in South Germany. The prototypes are testing with very little disguise, revealing most of the design, which is very similar to the concept.
The prototypes have just the side window line, part of front and rear disguised. We also get to see two different wheel designs and it the prototypes are again a clear sign that at least two different models are in development.
The bronze i3 has a fuel cap at the rear of the car plus a cap for the battery charger near the A-pillar. The silver i3 prototype only has a tank cap at the rear.
The all-electric i3 is expected to use a rear-mounted electric motor with 170 bhp and 249 Nm of torque. Range from a full charge is around 100 miles. The range-extended variant is expected to use a 0.65-litre two-cylinder motorcycle engine that acts as a generator to recharge the battery.
