BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe patent drawings hit the web

We have seen the upcoming BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe testing at various locations with less and less camouflage.

Here we have official patent drawings of the 4 Series Gran Coupe, courtesy of AutoHome.com.cn, revealing more of the design ahead of its possible debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March.

The 4 Series Gran Coupe is a four door coupe and has a similar roof line as the bigger 6 Series Gran Coupe, going against the Audi A5 Sportback.

While nothing is official, the model most likely has a longer wheelbase compared to the 4 Series Coupe.

Engine range is expected to carry over from the coupe, meaning the entry level model will use a 181bhp turbo-diesel in the 420d, 242bhp 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo petrol in the 428i and the flagship 435i gets a 3.0-litre straight six with 302bhp.

A hot M4 Gran Coupe with 425bhp is also expected to follow later.
