Bentley Mulsanne Vision Concept – World’s Most Elegant Convertible
Three years after the debut of the Mulsanne Saloon at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, Bentley has revealed first images of a new addition to the marque’s flagship family.
The Mulsanne Convertible aka Vision Concept design sketches show a two-door version of the Mulsanne with a new steeply raked windscreen, that is inspired by the Park Ward S1 Drophead Coupe of the fifties.
Bentley hasn’t revealed details of the powertrain, but we expect it use the Mulsanne’s 505bhp 6.75-litre turbo V8.
Commenting on the Mulsanne Convertible Concept, Wolfgang Dürheimer, Bentley’s Chairman and Chief Executive said: “The modern, luxurious, high-tech Mulsanne saloon provides a perfect foundation on which to create the world’s most elegant convertible. The Convertible Concept will extend the appeal of the Mulsanne family, while enhancing the profile of the Bentley brand, particularly in new and emerging markets.”
The Mulsanne Convertible is expected to go on sale in 2013 with prices starting at around £250,000.
