Audi Working on R8 GT Ultra Special Edition?

Another day at the Nürburgring has passed and here we have pictures of a mysterious Audi R8 V10 prototype in matte black and blue colour.

The prototype is clearly a V10, but not the facelift, with some of the components coming from the 2012 R8 GT, a very limited hard core version of the R8.

With the new facelifted R8, Audi is not offering the GT anymore, instead there is V10 Plus.

It could be just a prototype for testing different technologies or most likely a new top of the range model that will go against the upcoming Mercedes SLS AMG Black Series.

The prototype reveals a new large air intake in the bonnet, added chin spoiler, a plexiglass engine cover and a huge rear wing, that looks adjustable.

We’ll see soon what Audi is up to!
