Aston Martin unveils Vanquish Carbon Edition Coupe and Convertible [video]

Last month both the Vanquish and Rapide S received a new 8-speed automatic gearbox, making both cars much faster, showing how important a good modern gearbox is.

This time Aston Martin has unveiled the new Vanquish Carbon Edition that of course comes with the new 8-speed automatic gearbox and as the name suggests with some carbon fibre.

The Vanquish Carbon Edition is available as a coupe or convertible (Volante), featuring either white or black exterior with black window surrounds, distinctive brake calipers, new black headlight eyebrows and 10-spoke alloy wheels with a gloss black finish.

Interior changes are also quite small, revealing Herringbone carbon fibre facia backdrop, black accents and a Bang & Olufsen audio system with black anodized speaker grilles.

Under the bonnet is the familiar 576bhp 6.0-litre V12 linked to an eight-speed automatic gearbox, taking the Vanquish coupe from 0-60mph in 3.6 seconds and on to a top speed of 201mph.
