Aston Martin DP-100 virtual racer for Gran Turismo 6 revealed with 800bhp [video]

Looks like every major automaker is busy revealing their virtual racers for the popular Gran Turismo 6. This time Aston Martin has unveiled the DP-100 Vision Gran Turismo, a virtual-only GT racer that will be available for Gran Turismo 6 owners to download next month.

The DP-100 virtual racer is quite interesting as we finally get to see an Aston Martin with a revolutionary design, unlike all their current production models which have changed very little over the years.

Aston Martin design team started with a ‘blank sheet of paper’ and it took them six months to create the new addition to the Vision Gran Turismo stable of race cars.

The design looks quite futuristic, but according to design Director Marek Reichman, “many of the design cues visible in DP-100, such as the light blade rear lamps, could also feed through into future sports cars that we’ll launch in the offline world so the importance of this project should not be underestimated.”

The DP-100 is envisioned with a mid-engine twin-turbo V12 producing up to 800bhp.
