Armoured Mercedes-Benz G 63 AMG 6x6 by Dartz packs 1,005bhp

Latvian tuner/coachbuilder Dartz is mostly known for their Dartz armoured cars in the movie Borat.

This time the tuner is introducing their version of the Mercedes-Benz G 63 AMG 6×6, which was unveiled last year as a very limited model.

The six-wheeled monster by Dartz is dubbed DrIvE HARD 6×6 “world’s first funky armoured car.” Inspiration comes from the Cougar 6×6 MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected) which was featured in the fifth installment of the Die Hard.

Dartz engineers have tweaked the twin-turbo 5.5-litre V8 to produce 1,019 PS (1,005bhp) and more than 1,000 Nm of torque.

The weight of this big beast is not known, but as the base model weighs already 3,850kg, so we are quite sure the armour plating raises weight to around 5,000kg.

Both armoured and unarmoured versions will be offered, priced at 2.4M EUR and 1.5M EUR respectively.

More custom G 63 6x6s will follow with inspiration from Jurassic Park and Indiana Jones.
