All-new Jaguar XE front revealed in full ahead of September debut

Jaguar has released a full front view of the upcoming XE saloon with singer Emeli Sandé, who will perform during the official debut of the XE on September 8th, with an “audio-visual spectacle that will be seen and heard across the Thames”.

Other celebrities promoting the FEEL XE project include British actor Idris Elba and Stella McCartney.

The XE will go against the likes of BMW 3 Series, Audi A4 and Mercedes C-Class, featuring the first aluminium monocoque product in the segment and a new Ingenium family of high-output, fuel-efficient four-cylinder two-litre petrol and diesel engines.

The XE also comes with F-TYPE-derived front suspension, world-first All Surface Progress Control system, ensuring rear-wheel drive traction from standstill even in extreme conditions.

The integral link suspension provides lateral and longitudinal stiffness.

The image above shows “S” badge, meaning it is the XE-S model, powered most likely by a 3.0-litre V6 supercharged engine borrowed from the F-Type S, where it produces up to 380 horsepower.

Rumours are also already talking about a top of the range XER-S with a supercharged 5.0-litre V8 with 542bhp from the F-Type R.
