All-New Ford Focus On Its Way To UK Dealerships

The all-new Ford Focus is on its way to Ford dealership showrooms in preparation for next month’s sales launch. 2,500 models left the German assembly plant last week, and the daily total will be increased to 1,450 later this month.

The majority of the first production run are destined for UK dealerships, with over 70 per cent of the cars shipped to the UK being high-series Titanium models.

“Now that the first all-new Focus models have left the Saarlouis plant on schedule and with the highest levels of quality, deliveries to the wider European market will soar,” explained Horst Ritze, Ford’s Material Planning and Logistics manager. “We currently have 12,000 cars in the pipeline for release to markets across Europe.”

New Focus will come with advanced technologies including Low Speed Safety System, Active Park Assist, Lane Keeping Aid and Torque Vectoring Control. Powertrains include a new 1.6-litre EcoBoost petrol engine and updated 1.6- and 2.0-litre Duratorq TDCi diesel engines.

All-new Ford Focus is priced from £15,995, and will be offered as a 5-door hatchback and 5-door estate.
