All-new 2015 Skoda Fabia revealed ahead of Paris debut

Skoda has released first images of the new 2015 Fabia with a sharper styling ahead of its public debut at the Paris Motor Show in October.

The new Fabia rides on the Volkswagen’s PQ26 platform that is also used for the new Volkswagen Polo.

Compared to the outgoing model, the new Fabia is around 65kg lighter depending on the engine and trim level, with the entry level model weighing 980kg.

Shown here is the hathcback, though the estate should also follow shortly after.

Engine range includes three & four cylinder petrol and diesel engines. The petrol range from launch starts with a 60bhp 1.0-litre three-cylinder MPI followed by a 108bhp 1.2-litre four-cylinder TSI.

Diesel options include a new three-cylinder 1.4-litre unit with 75bhp and 104bhp outputs. Another 75bhp 1.4 TDI with start/stop and kinetic energy recuperation technology will join the range later.
