Alfa Romeo delivers first 4C Launch Edition units at Balocco

is simply one of the best compact sports cars on the market today.

Recently the first five European Alfa Romeo 4C Launch Edition units were delivered to customers from Switzerland, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Italy, who were given an exclusive driving experience with Alfa Romeo test drivers including 1993 DTM champion Nicola Larini to test the 4C at the Balocco Test Centre in Italy.

The 4C Launch Edition is limited to 500 cars in Europe and comes with exclusive features such as carbon fibre body kit, exterior either in Alfa Red or Carrara White, Bi-LED headlights and 18- / 19-inch wheels with a dark finish and an individually-numbered plaque.

Just as the standard model, the 4C Launch Edition uses a new 240bhp 1.75-litre turbo petrol, taking the 895kg sports car from 0-62mph in just 4.5 seconds and to a top speed of 160mph. Recently the 4C lapped the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 8:04 – making it the fastest car with engines producing less than 250bhp.

The first five owners of the 4C ‘Launch Edition’ had also the chance to get a close-up look at a 33 Stradale from the Alfa Romeo Museum.
