Alfa Romeo 4C review by Chris Harris [video]

has all the ingredients for a successful sports car. It is rear wheel drive, light, fast and looks beautiful.

Chris Harris was recently at the 4C launch in Italy and did some hot laps on the Balocco proving grounds. Harris says the 4C sits neatly between the Porsche Cayman and Lotus Elise in most areas. He did have few critical things to say, but nothing major as they were clearly outweighed by positives.

The 4C uses a mid-mounted 240bhp 1.75-litre turbo petrol engine with 350Nm of torque. TCT twin-clutchgearbox sends power to the rear wheels, enabling the 895kg sports car hit 0-62mph in just 4.5 seconds and continue to a top speed of 160mph.

The 4C will go on sale in October with prices starting from £45,000.
