Alfa Romeo 4C Revealed Ahead of Geneva Debut

Alfa Romeo has revealed first pictures and details of its production 4C sports car ahead of its debut at next month’s Geneva Motor Show.

As we can see the exterior design has no surprises and stays true to the 4C Concept, which saw its debut 2 years ago in Geneva. The 4C is similar in size to the compact Lotus Elise, measuring less than 4 metres in length, 200 cm in width, 118 cm in height, while the wheelbase is less than 2.4 metres.

Power comes from a new mid-mounted 4 cylinder 1.75-litre Turbo Petrol linked to a TCT twin clutch automatic transmission with power sent to rear wheels. No engine output specs were released, but the weight to power ratio is less than 4 kg/HP. The same engine in the Quadrifoglio Verde version of the Giulietta produces 235bhp, meaning in the 4C the power is very likely around 275bhp.

Full details will be revealed next month.
