2016 Porsche Panamera chassis testing mule spied for the first time

facelift with new engines was unveiled earlier this year and as you can see the second generation model has just started testing on the Nürburgring.

Two chassis testing mules were caught with a modified body of the current pre-facelift model. One of the mules has plenty of foam on wheel cases and underneath the car, while the second mule rides on test wheels.

The next Panamera is rumoured to ride on a new lighter MSB platform (short for modular standard architecture), which will be shared also with Bentley and very likely also with Lamborghini.

Hopefully the design of the new Panamera follows a similar language as the attractive Panamera Sport Turismo concept, which debuted last year at the Paris Motor Show.

We expect to see full body prototypes in the second half of 2014.

Stay tuned for more details and new spy shots!
