2016 Opel/Vauxhall Astra 5-door spied for the first time

Current fourth-generation Opel/Vauxhall Astra has been on the market since late 2009 and it is time for a bigger update, for Opel/Vauxhall to stay competitive.

Here we have our very first shot of the new Astra 5-door with an evolutionary design, showing us the side profile.

There is plenty of camouflage, but we can see new A-pillar design, new side window line and new C-pillars. It also looks like the front is lower and the boot stands more upright.

It also looks like the new model grows in size, offering more leg room for rear seat passengers, along with increased cargo space.

The new Astra is expected to debut in the second half of 2015. Stay tuned for more details as we will be bringing you more pictures hopefully very soon.
