2016 Cadillac CTS-V and ATS-V spotted high-speed testing on the Nürburgring [videos]

Cadillac is busy working on the high-performance CTS-V and ATS-V saloons. Both cars were caught recently testing on the Nürburgring and all we can say is that the Germans (yes you Audi, BMW, Mercedes and Porsche) have something to watch out for.

The CTS-V prototype as we have seen from previous spy shots boasts a more aggressive body work along with quad exhaust setup at the rear. What’s under the bonnet has not been confirmed yet, but most likely a supercharged 6.2-litre V8 from the new Corvette Z06 is there, detuned to around 600-620bhp. That’s clearly more than the current BMW M5, Audi RS6 or Mercedes E 63 AMG currently pack.

The more compact ATS-V, which will go against the likes of M3, C 63 AMG and RS 4 is expected to use a twin-turbo V6 producing around 425bhp linked to a seven-speed manual. The rear quad exhaust setup is quite similar to the one on new M3/M4 and the exhaust note is impressive.

…and as you can see the prototype literally flies around the track with all four wheels off the air.
