2015 Volkswagen Passat Estate spied testing in U.S.

Here we have our first spy shots of the next generation Volkswagen Passat prototype in the Estate variant hot weather testing in Southern United States.

The prototype has a heavily disguised front hiding new bumper design and new headlights. Rest of the car shows the body of the current generation model with a wider track and modified wheel cases.

The new Passat will use the extended MQB platform, meaning it will be lighter than the current model.

We expect to see full body prototypes early next year.
