Remember the attractive coupe-like Subaru Legacy Concept, that debuted last year at the Los Angeles Auto Show?
Well here it is in production form and we are least to say disappointed. The coupe like styling, sculpted panels and aggressive look of the concept have been substituted for a more conventional look that is just plain boring.
Compared to the outgoing model, the new model does have a more steeply raked windscreen, new hexagonal grille, angular front bumper with larger air intakes, and WRX-inspired headlights and taillights.
The interior boasts a redesigned instrument cluster behind a new steering wheel, while the centre consol features an integrated 6.2-inch navigation and media system.
Two engines are offered: a 173bhp 2.5-litre four-cylinder boxer and a 254bhp 3.6-litre six-cylinder boxer linked to a six-speed CVT gearbox and permanent all-wheel drive.
The new Legacy saloon will go on sale in U.S. this summer. In Europe an estate version will be offered that is still in development.
