2015 Rolls-Royce Wraith Drophead Coupe (Cabriolet) spied for the first time

Rolls-Royce Wraith made its debut in early 2013 and it is essentially a coupe version of the Ghost.

Just as with the bigger Phantom, an open-top model called Wraith Drophead Coupe will follow soon and here we have our first spy shots, showing a heavily disguised prototype with the roof up.

As you can see the roof line at the rear is quite different compared to the coupe. The roof line on the Drophead Coupe looks much shorter than on the hard top model and ends much sooner. Rest of the car should be almost identical to the coupe once the camouflage is gone.

The 624bhp V12 engine mated to 8-speed automatic ZF transmission will carry over from the coupe, along with Satellite Aided Transmission which uses GPS data to preselect the correct gear for the type of terrain up ahead. There could be some minor changes to fuel economy and power output, but nothing revolutionary.

The Wraith Drophead Coupe is expected to debut in early 2015 just in time for summer driving.
