Porsche Macan is currently available with two twin-turbocharged petrol engines and one turbo diesel with power ranging from 258bhp in the Macan S Diesel all the way to 400bhp in the Turbo, while the Macan S in the middle packs 340bhp.
Porsche will reportedly also introduce a new four-cylinder engine range in the Macan and as you can see from the video below a high-performance Turbo S model is also expected to arrive soon.
All current Porsche models with a Turbo designation (Panamera Turbo S, 911 Turbo S and Cayenne Turbo S) have the top of the range Turbo S model and the Macan is clearly following the same formula.
The lightly camouflaged prototype of the Macan Turbo (S) was caught recently on the Nürburgring and it is a high chance we are looking at the Turbo S not the standard Turbo model.
The Macan Turbo is powered by a 400bhp 3.6-litre twin-turbo V6 and in the Turbo S it is expected to deliver around 430-440bhp.
In addition a GTS model will also follow soon with largely similar styling as Turbo, but with oval exhaust pipes, not trapezoidal pipes as on the Macan Turbo models.
