We saw the next-generation MINI Clubman for the first time back in November on a flatbed truck in Munich, revealing a familiar design, but big changes to size and also new forward hinged rear doors in favour of the current “suicide” type rear door.
Next Clubman is now going through winter testing in extreme cold near the Arctic Circle.
The prototype was caught in the dark and at first there are no new details, but we did notice what looks to be a new navigation screen in the middle of the dashboard.
Usually the navigation screen on MINI models is in the middle of the round speedo instrument.
Riding on the new enlarged UKL platform the new Clubman is almost as big as the BMW 3 Series Touring, offering more room for the rear passengers and stepping into a new market segment.
update! This is most likely just the HUD (Heads-up display), seen also on the current model.
