2015 Mercedes S-Class Maybach spotted testing on the Nürburgring [VIDEO]

The new Mercedes-Benz S-Class is already available as a saloon in two wheelbases and a sporty coupe. In total there will be six body variants, meaning three more models will follow soon.

One of the new models is the Maybach 57 replacing S-Class that has a bit longer wheelbase than the current extended wheelbase model, offering even more leg room and of course a long list of entertainment and luxury options.

The new S-Class Maybach is reportedly based on the S 65 AMG, using the familiar 621bhp 6.0-litre V12 engine. In addition to a stretched wheelbase the car also has new bumpers. The only disguise the prototype has is around the modified C-pillar and rear side glass.

The outgoing Maybach was not very successful as back in 2010 Daimler managed to sell just 200 units. We have a feeling the new model will do much better, but is it going to be a popular alternative to Bentley Mulsanne and Rolls-Royce Phantom is hard to tell.

In addition to a new Maybach, an even longer variant called S-Class Pullman with 2+2+2 seating will also follow soon, replacing the Maybach 62.
