Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the upgraded A-Class range with the range-topping A 45AMG delivering now 376bhp, up form 355bhp on the outgoing model.
Visual changes are minor and include updated bumper, diamond front grille, integrated exhaust pipes, modified graphics for the lighting clusters, optional LED headlights, which come standard on the A45 AMG.
Interior reveals updated infotainment system which now supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as galvanized switches, revised instrument cluster wit tubular design, new colours and materials plus an optional free-standing 8-inch display.
The range-topping A45 AMG with 376bhp from a 2.0-litre turbo four with 350 lb-ft of torque is linked to a revised seven-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox with shorter ratios for third and seventh gear along with new software linked to all-wheel drive, taking the sporty hatch from 0-62mph in just 4.2 seconds. Top speed remains electronically limited at 155mph with fuel-economy standing at 40.9mpg and CO2 emissions at 162g/km.
New Dynamic Plus package also adds mechanical locking front differential.
Other engine upgrades include the 180 diesel engine that now delivers 80.7mpg with CO2 emissions at 89g/km.
The A220 diesel packs 175bhp now, up from 168bhp.
The updated Mercedes A-Class will be available to order from tomorrow the June 3rd with first cars reaching customers in September.
