2015 Mazda2 compact saloon rendered

Last week Mazda unveiled the all-new Mazda2/Demio hatchback and talented automotive manipulator Theophilus Chin has already created three renderings showing the possible look for the subcompact saloon, that has already been confirmed for production.

What we see looks quite attractive and knowing Mazda’s design approach it is very likely that Mr. Chin has nailed the production model’s design quite closely.

Exterior dimensions for the new Mazda2 are not known yet, but the Hazumi concept from the Geneva Motor Show was 4070mm long and it is expected the saloon will be little longer.

The interior will carry over along with brand-new small displacement clean diesel engine, the SKYACTIV-D 1.5 and a petrol SKYACTIV-G 1.5-litre unit in different power outputs, linked to both manual and automatic transmissions.

For the new generation there won’t be a three-door version, so the line-up will include only the five-door hatch and a saloon.
