2015 Jaguar XS mule spied

Jaguar is working on a new compact saloon, called the XS and here we have our first chassis testing mule pictures.

The XS is reportedly based on a shorter JLR’s PLA platform (premium lightweight architecture) that is also the basis for the all-new Range Rover.

The test mule shown here has a modified XF body with shorter rear doors and it will be a while until we can see actual full body prototypes.

The engine range is expected to include a range of four-cylinder units (both diesel and petrol), as well as a V6 diesel and a supercharged V6 petrol.

The XS will go against the likes of Audi A4, BMW 3 Series, Mercedes C-Class and is expected to arrive sometimes in 2015 with a starting priced of around £25,000.
