2015 Jaguar XS chassis testing mule spied again

We brought you first pictures of the all-new Jaguar XS chassis testing mule back in April.

Test groups with the Jaguar XS chassis testing mules have been caught all over Europe again. One group is currently testing the new small Jaguar in the Alps, while the other one is at the extreme Nürburgring.

The XS is reportedly based on a shorter JLR’s PLA platform and the chassis testing mules pictured here have a modified XF body with shorter doors. You can clearly see it is narrower, shorter and sits lower than the XF.

Full body prototypes are expected to start testing in early 2014.

The engine range is expected to include a range of four-cylinder units (both diesel and petrol), as well as a V6 diesel and a supercharged V6 petrol.

The XS will be Jaguar’s answer to three German’s: Audi A4, BMW 3 Series and Mercedes C-Class.

Prices are expected to start from around £25,000.
