We saw the Jaguar XJ facelift for the first time back in November on British roads with a camouflaged front and rear.
The testing continues now in extreme cold and snow in Northern Sweden with a similar disguise.
It looks like the new front bumper is a bit rounder with new air intakes, while the rear at this stage does not reveal any dramatic changes. The headlights are also partly disguised, hinting at a new shape and light graphic.
Updates to the suspension and interior are also most likely part of the facelift.
The engine range for the XJ was recently updated so there shouldn’t be any big changes, meaning we will get the 335bhp 3.0-litre supercharged V6, 271bhp 3.0-litre V6 Diesel S and a 503bhp 5.0-litre supercharged V8. All engines are linked to an eight-speed ZF transmission with Intelligent Stop-Start.
While nothing is official a diesel hybrid from the new Range Rover Hybrid could make it into the XJ and testing it in the extreme cold is the right way to do it!
