2015 Ford Mustang prototype caught for the first time on the road

These are our first spy shots of the next generation Ford Mustang prototype (codenamed S550) out on public streets. The prototype is very heavily disguised, making it very hard to even guess how the new model will look like.

Despite all the camouflage we can still see that the window line at the doors is drops further down than on the current model. We can also spot little of the horizontal headlamps. The new model seems also a bit smaller with a lower roofline.

Rumour is that the 2015 Mustang will finally get an independent rear suspension.

Current 3.7-litre V6 and 5.0-litre V8 will reportedly carry over with some changes, while Europe will also get a new optional turbocharged four-cyliner engine.
