2015 Dodge Challenger SRT8 Hellcat spied

SRT development team was recently testing a number of prototypes for the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT8 with a new supercharged 6.2-litre “Hellcat” V8 in U.S. and here we have the pictures.

The hot SRT8 Hellcat is due in 2014 as a 2015 year model. The Hellcat-powered Challenger is very likely what SRT boss Ralph Gilles promised when he said that SRT will soon have an answer for the Camaro ZL1 and Mustang GT500.

The prototypes have a camouflaged front-end revealing partly a new lower air-intake, as well as a different exhaust set-up, meaning there will be a new rear bumper design.

The SRT8 with a supercharged 6.2-litre V8 HEMI is expected to have 600+ horsepower. It is not known yet will the supercharged 6.2-litre V8 replace the naturally-aspirated 6.4-litre engine or will it be offered as a new top of the range alternative.
