2015 BMW X6 M spied cold weather testing near the Arctic Circle

We saw the second-generation BMW X6 first time back in October testing on the Nürburgring with camouflage hiding similar design as the new third-generation X5.

Here we have our very first spy shots of the high-performance BMW X6 M, that is expected to debut later this year after the new X5 M, that is likely to debut already next month in Geneva.

The X6 M prototype reveals typical M elements like aggressive front bumper with larger air intakes and wider air dam, new side skirts, bigger brakes and wheels, rear spoiler and M-style quad-exhaust tips.

The outgoing X5 M and X6 M both pack an impressive 555bhp from a twin-turbo 4.4-litre V8. We expect this engine to carry over with minor changes to deliver even more power and better fuel economy.

Other updates compared to the standard model include M specific interior, specially-tuned suspension and improved steering.

The new model will also be significantly lighter thanks to extensive use of ultra-high-tensile steels, aluminium and carbon fibre.
