2015 Audi Q7 spied testing near the beach in Southern Europe

Here we have the latest spy shots of the next-generation Audi Q7, which was caught cruising near the beach in Southern Europe.

The next generation Audi Q7 will ride on a new platform, based on the MLB architecture, which will also span the Bentley SUV and next-generation VW Touareg, Porsche Cayenne and Lamborghini SUV which are all due in 2017.

New Q7 will be around 350kg lighter compared to the current model, thanks to extensive use of aluminuim, composite materials and smaller/lighter engines.

The prototype does reveal partly new headlights, a more angular shape, big front grille, new tail lights and updated bumpers.

Engine range will include 3.0-litre and 4.0-litre TFSI units and a 3.0-litre TDI. A plug-in hybrid (with e-tron badging) is also in dvelopment and will reportedly come in two versions – with a 3.0-litre TFSI and a 3.0-litre TDI.
