Current third-generation Volkswagen Scirocco has been on the market since 2008 and before the fourth-generation model arrives in 2-3 years, it is getting a facelift as you can see from the photos here.
Caught testing in Death Valley, U.S. the prototype has a heavily camouflaged front hiding new bumper, new headlights and new grille. The changes are expected to be similar to recent new models in the Volkswagen portfolio, specially the grille and the headlights.
VW is not selling the current generation Scirocco in the States and with the engineers testing it there does not mean it is going to change, at least not with this generation model. Death Valley is just a perfect location for hot weather testing.
Updated Scirocco is expected to reach VW dealerships in the first half of 2014.
