2014 SEAT Leon ST estate revealed

SEAT has unveiled the all-new Leon ST (Sport Tourer) estate.

Based on the new third-generation Leon, it is the first ever Leon estate car, joining the five-door hatchback and three-door SC.

Leon ST has the same wheelbase as the five-door hatchback but the rear overhang has grown by 270mm, offering more luggage space. The new Leon ST boasts a 587-litre boot, that is extendable to 1,470 litres when the rear seats are folded flat. Weighing at 1,233 kg, it is 45 kg heavier than the five-door hatchback, but still lightest in its class.

Engine options include a wide range of TDI and TSI units, with displacements ranging from 1.2 to 2.0 litres and output from 105 horsepower to 184 horsepower. All engines feature direct injection and turbocharging. Transmission options include five- and six-speed manual gearboxes or six- and seven-speed DSG dual-clutch gearboxes.
