2014 Range Rover Sport R-S caught testing on the Nürburgring

Land Rover unveiled the new Range Rover Sport last month at the Geneva Motor Show. In short it is the fastest, most agile and responsive Land Rover ever.

The top of the range model uses a supercharged 503bhp 5.0-litre V8 petrol engine, but there is more planned for the new Sport as you can see from these new photos.

Land Rover has already confirmed plans to launch an even hotter version, and here we have the first Range Rover Sport R-S spy shots from the Nürburgring. The prototype has huge air intakes in the lower front bumper and a bigger rear spoiler above the rear window.

The Range Rover Sport R-S will likely have 542bhp from a supercharged 5.0-litre V8. The R-S model wouldn’t be just more powerful, but also more comfortable. A similar move Jaguar has done with the XKR-S and XFR-S.
