2014 Porsche 911 Turbo and Turbo S Cabriolet revealed

Porsche has unveiled the new 911 Turbo and Turbo S Cabriolet ahead of their public debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 20.

There aren’t really any big surprises as the Cabriolet closely mirrors the already revealed 911 Turbo and Turbo S coupe.

The updated retractable fabric roof features a lightweight magnesium frame, allowing the cabrio to maintain a coupe-like profile to the roof when the top is closed. The roof can be opened or closed in 13 seconds at speeds of up to 30 mph.

Just like the coupe, the 911 Turbo Cabriolet is powered by a 3.8-litre six-cylinder turbocharged engine with 520 hp in the standard model and 560 hp in the more powerful Turbo S, good for a 0-62mph in just 3.2 seconds (0.3 sec faster than the 520 hp model). Top speed is up to 195 mph.

New 911 Turbo Cabriolet will go on sale in December with prices starting from £126,766 for the base model and from £149,511 for the Turbo S Cabriolet. on sale from December
