2014 Peugeot 308 GTI spied for the first time

Peugeot just unveiled the new Peugeot 308 and the 308 R concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show last week and as you can see they are already working on another model, the 308 GTI.

The 308 GTI will slot between the standard 308 and the upcoming 308 R, which is expected to deliver the same power as the concept – an impressive 270bhp from a 1.6-litre turbo four.

Currently the most powerful 308 packs 155bhp and the GTI model is expected to use a 1.6-litre turbo with around 200bhp.

Other updated besides a more powerful engine, include new air intakes, sport suspension, bigger wheels, double exhaust arrangement and minor interior updates.
