2014 Nissan Qashqai teased ahead of next week's debut

Nissan has released a teaser image for the second-generation Qashqai which will be unveiled next week on November 7.

Details are limited, but Nissan clearly has high hopes for the new model as it calls it “the most significant car in its modern history – a model that will redefine the crossover sector and set new standards across the board”.

New Qashqai features sector-first technologies, fresh thinking in every area, advanced aerodynamics and state of the art cabin infotainment systems.

The first generation model has been very successful with global sales over 2.0 million units.

New Qashqai is expected to use a new turbocharged 113bhp 1.2-litre petrol DiG-T engine, a 108bhp 1.5-litre dCi and a 128bhp 1.6-litre dCi.

Riding on the new Common Module Family architecture co-developed with Renault, the new Qashqai is also likely to receive hybrid/electric variants as well.
