2014 Mercedes S-Class Coupe spied less disguised with new details

Here we have the best spy shots of the new Mercedes S-Class Coupe.

As the development continues so are the prototypes slowly losing more and more camouflage.

Two different models were caught, one is a regular S-Class Coupe and the other one with AMG package.

As the standard S-Class saloon was also driving along as a support car we get a good comparison of the overall size, roof line and other details.

The S-Coupe has a much lower front with a different grille, the headlights are very similar, but the tail lights are bigger on the Coupe. The boot on the Coupe looks also smaller than on the saloon.

The prototypes also show more of the front and rear design compared to our previous shots.

The new S-Class Coupe looks very similar to the concept which we saw back in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

Compared to the outgoing CL-Class, the new model looks lower, wider and sportier.

Engine range is expected to carry over in some part from the saloon, meaning we will get the 4.7-litre V8 with 455bhp in the S500 variant, while top of the range AMG models are expected to use a V12 and twin-turbo V8.
