2014 Mercedes S-Class Coupe spied less disguised + interior shots

Here we have the latest spy shots showing the new S-Class Coupe (CL successor) with less disguise. Mercedes-Benz has taken the black plastic camouflage off revealing more of the front.

We also get to see less disguised interior along with a key that says “CL 217”. That is a bit confusing, as the new model is reportedly called S-Class Coupe not CL anymore.

Interior is almost identical to the new S-Class saloon, the clock between vents is absent and there is also a redesigned steering wheel. Also it looks like there is a touch-pad on the centre console.

Compared to the outgoing CL the new model looks lower, wider and sportier.

Engine range is expected to carry over in some part (higher spec units) from the recently launched saloon variant, meaning we will get the 4.7-litre V8 with 455 hp in the S500 variant, while top of the range models are expected to use a V12 and twin-turbo V8.
