2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class extra-long wheelbase hits the Nürburgring

The new Mercedes-Benz S-Class with extra long wheelbase was caught for the first time back in July.

This time the luxury-limousine was caught testing on the Nürburgring doing some hot laps. Not very usual for big saloons to be seen testing on the ‘Ring.

This new model is roughly 20cm longer than the long wheelbase model, which measures 5246mm in length and is already available to order.

The prototype has a new hidden third side window, which is not part of the rear door.

In addition to this new body variant a much longer Maybach-replacing Pullman version is also in development.

Regarding a possible name for this model, it could be called Grosser or Grand. We’ll see soon!
