2014 Mercedes-Benz GLA Spied Up Close

Here we have the latest spy shots of the Mercedes-Benz GLA spied testing in South Germany. This time the prototype was caught much closer, meaning you can see even more details and proportions of this new small SUV based on the new MFA modular platform that also underpins the new A-Class and upcoming CLA.

The GLA is Mercedes-Benz’s answer to the BMW X1, MINI Countryman, Audi Q3 and Range Rover Evoque.

The GLA will be offered in both front- and all-wheel drive configurations with a choice of manual and automatic transmissions. Engine range is expected to be very similar to the new A-Class, meaning a wide range of diesel and petrol units will be available.
